From this issue on, he collaborated with Mark Waid. With John Byrne he relaunched this series. From 2002 on he worked on this series. Moving to DC in 2004, he worked mainly on this series. Returning to Marvel in 2006, longer runs were on this series, this series, and this series. After several mini-series, he worked on the relaunched this series for two years with Charles Soule, followed by the relaunch this series. Leaving Marvel, he worked on this series with Keanu Reeves and Matt Kindt. Garney worked as the Costume illustrator on the 2007 Will Smith film I Am Legend, and the 2010 Nicolas Cage fantasy film, The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
