Philippe Berthet is a French comic book artist. After studying at the Institut Saint-Luc in Brussels, he drew his first comics for the fanzines Aïe and Spatial. In 1980, his first full-length story, Couleur Café, appeared in the comic magazine Spirou. Shortly thereafter, he created the science fiction series Le Marchand d'idées with writer Antonio Cossu. This was followed in 1983 by the three-part crime thriller Le Privé d'Hollywood and other individual albums. From the mid-1990s onwards, he collaborated with screenwriter Yann on the adventure series Pin-Up, followed by a spin-off series, called Les Exploits de Poison Ivy, which only lasted for three albums published between 2006 and 2008. Finally, Berthet teamed up with screenwriter Fred Duval to deliver with Nico the adventures of another super spy operating in futuristic urban settings from 2010.
