Search results you can trust

Search got another quality pass — this time focused on the ranking under the hood and the small matching quirks that made results feel a little off.

No more stray mid-word matches

Short words used to match inside longer ones — searching for free could surface carefree, and a few similar slips. We now match whole words instead of fuzzing tiny fragments, so your terms mean what you typed. Longer words still tolerate a small typo, but a three- or four-letter search won't wander into unrelated titles anymore.

Smarter ranking

Underneath, full matches are now ranked by a proper relevance model that weighs where your words appear — a hit in the title counts for more than one buried deep in a description, and rarer words carry more signal than common ones. The result is the same library, sorted so the book you meant rises to the top. Manga gets a gentle nudge when results are otherwise tied, since that's usually what people are after when the title fits.
