Search starts cleaner
Search startup should feel less jumpy.
Skeletons before results
When the page is still loading the first result set, it now shows intentional skeleton tiles instead of partially rendered book cards. That makes the first moment on the page easier to read and avoids showing empty result shells.
Fewer stale states
The page is also stricter about when facet metadata and search results refresh. That helps prevent stale filters or source selections from briefly appearing while the catalog data is still catching up.
Same search, cleaner handoff
The search behavior is unchanged once results arrive. The improvement is in the handoff from "page just opened" to "ready to browse."
