The Regalia of the Underdog

Edition excerpt from The Regalia of the Underdog Vol.1 (2027): The ultimate comeback story is this manga. A noble’s fall from grace becomes a fierce journey for the crown… where strength, strategy, and redemption forge a new king. Cast out in disgrace after a humiliating defeat, young noble Tarte sees his destiny collapse before his eyes. Once praised for his talent and heritage, he now stands at the very bottom of the hierarchy, an underdog in a realm where strength, strategy and magical prowess rule all. But when the King Selection Exam begins, a brutal contest that crowns only the most extraordinary of contenders, Tarte seizes his one chance at reclaiming everything he’s lost. As rivals sharpen their blades and factions clash for dominance, Tarte must confront the harsh truths of his sheltered past and decide what kind of man, and ruler, he wants to become. His journey from arrogance to resilience forges a hero driven not by privilege, but by grit, humility and an unshakable will to rise again. This manga fuses high-energy combat, rich fantasy worldbuilding and the emotional pull of a classic redemption arc, The Regalia of the Underdog marks Shinachiku as a creator to watch.
