Edition excerpt from The Brave and the Bold: Milestone (2010): Dakota isn't your typical Midwestern city, and neither are its champions: Static, a young man who's electromagnetically charged to dispense justice; Hardware, a high-tech armored cog in the criminal System; and Xombi, a nanite-enhanced immortal and supernatural lightning rod. Three heroes whose powers and abilities are as remarkable as the forces they combat on a daily basis. So what happens when Dakota's finest meet Black Lightning, Blue Beetle, and The Spectre — defenders who have been instrumental in saving the entire world? It's clear from their milestone encounters that theseheroes don't have much in common with each other, except where it counts most — they're The Brave and The Bold.Collecting The Brave and the Bold #24-26, this compilation also introduces readers to three of Milestone's most revolutionary heroes, in landmark adventures hand-picked by creator and Milestone co-founder Dwayne McDuffie.
