Kuruno Loves the Occult!

Edition excerpt from Kuruno Loves the Occult! Vol.1 (2027): **Endorsed by Junji Ito, Occult Horror meets Rom-Com! A terrified occult obsessive drags a reluctant classmate into haunted locations and supernatural mysteries in this hilarious, heartwarming horror adventure.** Kuruno is obsessed with the occult. There’s just one problem: she’s absolutely terrified of it. When high-school student Yuuki is contacted online by the mysterious Kuruno, he finds himself dragged into a series of increasingly strange expeditions to investigate the supernatural. From the infamous Kisaragi Station and Chupacabra sightings to cursed houses, haunted locations and mysterious local legends, Kuruno is determined to experience the occult first-hand… even if she has to force Yuuki to come along for the ride. But beneath her enthusiasm lies a surprising secret: Kuruno is a complete scaredy-cat, relying on Yuuki to find the courage to face the things she loves most. As the pair encounter one bizarre situation after another, their dangerous and often hilarious adventures begin to bring them closer together. Blending supernatural horror, Japanese urban legends, school-life comedy and an unexpected romantic spark, this is an offbeat occult adventure with plenty of heart. Created by manga artist Kusada, whose previous work includes the two-volume ninja comedy Senpai Was a Ninja, the series has also received a recommendation from legendary horror creator Junji Ito.
