Synopsis
Continue the legendary Five Star Stories saga, where epic mecha battles, political intrigue, and the poignant stories of elite warriors and their genetically engineered companions deepen in this cosmic adventure across the stars. The epic journey across the Joker Star Cluster continues in The Five Star Stories Vol. 2, presented in a premium English edition that closely mirrors the original Japanese release. Featuring colour illustrations and beautifully crafted French flaps, this volume is designed with collectors in mind, honoring Mamoru Nagano’s original vision in both form and content. As political intrigue deepens and interstellar conflict escalates, Volume 2 explores the histories of key nations and the evolving, often tragic bonds between Fatimas and their human partners. Rival factions clash, mercenary forces move in secrecy, and the consequences of past choices begin to reshape the balance of power across the galaxy. Nagano’s visionary artwork brings each Mortar Headd vividly to life, while the layered storytelling expands the saga into new emotional and strategic territory. Every page resonates with tension, ambition, and the weight of destiny as heroes and Fatimas confront shifting loyalties and devastating decisions. Like Volume 1, Vol. 2 goes far beyond the main narrative, offering readers a deeper understanding of the Five Star universe. Included are character design materials, in-depth character profiles, an intricate timeline, and authoritative lore drawn directly from the creator himself. A thoughtful postscript from Mamoru Nagano further illuminates the themes, ideas, and long-term vision behind the series, making this volume invaluable for dedicated fans. Though the 1989 animated film Destiny Three Fates: Lachesis provides an exciting introduction to the world of The Five Star Stories, it is the manga that fully packs out the scope, complexity, and emotional depth of this cult classic sci-fi epic. Perfect for fans of mecha, cosmic fantasy, and richly layered storytelling, The Five Star Stories Vol. 2 deepens the legend and raises the stakes. Continue the journey and experience this monumental saga in English.
